LAND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The highly accurate 3D point cloud data obtained from Mobile LiDAR can be used to extract information about Vegetation and other Encroachments on the tracks, Bridges, Drainage system along the railway network, Nearby water bodies, Lands surrounding the railway perimeter, Soil erosion, Tunnels, Gravels, Railway Assets and Properties, Distance of built up areas from tracks, Retaining walls, Sensitive and Forest areas etc.
Mobile Laser Scanner can capture the entire topography along the track on either side up to 200 m and the boundary can be marked from the point cloud which will be used to place the pillars for future reference. The encroachments on the railway properties can be identified and notified.
Surrounding lands and drainage systems
Complete terrain information along with elevation details can be extracted at mm accuracy for drainage facilities and other surrounding lands.

Vegetation and other encroachments are major problems in railway land management, with the help of LiDAR 3D point cloud highly accurate information about the encroachment and erosion can be obtained.
Bridges and Crossings
Bridges and track junctions along the track network can be extracted from the LiDAR 3D point cloud with high precision.

It is important to have the details about the buildings and other built up structures for better Land Management System. Mobile LiDAR data provides this information with high precision.
