Boundary identifications

Mobile Laser Scanner can capture the entire topography along the track on either side up to 200 m and the boundary can be marked from the point cloud which will be used to place the pillars for future reference. The encroachments on the railway properties can be identified and notified.

Surrounding lands and drainage systems

Complete terrain information along with elevation details can be extracted at mm accuracy for drainage facilities and other surrounding lands.

Railway Management System


In Railways, Assets are of three types: Fixed assets Distributed assets and Moving assets. Fixed assets are location specific which include stations, yards, bridges, tunnels, control offices etc., and distributed assets includes railway track, overhead electrified lines, signal poles, bridges etc. Moving assets includes locomotives, coaches, wagons, track machines.

Assets have to be mapped in order to preserve and to manage in an efficient manner. In order to feed the necessary data into an asset management system MOBILE LiDAR technology collects all the visible objects along the rail corridor.The locations of mile posts, signs, signals, crossings, bridges, etc., can be extracted from the Mobile LiDAR data set and used to update or create track charts and GIS databases.

All the features including the fixed, distributed and moving assets can be separated as layers for various analyses.
