Using this we can able to study the cross sectional view, corrosion possibility, highly accurate Digital Elevation Model to study the micro-topography etc., and the 3D modeling enables the archaeological monuments alive in digital form to carry out future research activities.

3D DOCUMENTATION OF THE HERITAGE SITE

The high performance laser scanner with large field of view and high point measurement rate provides accurate 3D LiDAR point cloud data which gives complete 3D document of the entire scene with accurate geometrical measurements. The 3D LiDAR point cloud can also be combined with high resolution digital images which are also taken by the laser scanner to get a better visualization of the scene.

3D POLYGON MESH MODEL AND CROSS SECTIONAL STUDY

The polygon mesh models acquired from the 3d point cloud data will enable us to study about the cross sections of buildings and other historical structures, dimensional details of structures, etc. which are very important parameters for conservation activities.

2D AND 3D CAD DRAWINGS

The accurate 2d and 3d cad drawings derived from the LiDAR point cloud can be used for detailed designing works. They will provide entire structural designs with precise geometrical measurements.
